Unruly edges: Toddler literacies of the Capitalocene

By troubling notions of time-as-progress and human exceptionality, this paper considers what shifts in conceptualisations children’s literacies futures might be possible the context faltering capitalist logics progress. The draws on a 3 year ethnographic study with families young children northern England, which asked learnt about by starting everyday communities. Arguing for interconnection between exceptionalism, human/planetary relations language, offers some alternative directions sorely needed imaginaries role how relate to their worlds.
